Description
Two photographs by Lincoln Rogers create a blended image of an American flag and a man’s praying hands over a Holy Bible. The two images combine to create a powerful message of Christian faith, prayer and support for the country, its founding principles and the members of the armed services who protect those principles. It also calls to mind the verse from the Holy Bible in II Chronicles 7:14 - “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Photography software has been used to add textures, tone and aged effects to give the image a weathered look of standing the test of time.
